My selections mostly revolve around aviation and in particular experimental and sport aviation. Having flown more than thirty years for pleasure, I most whole heartily encourage those you you who have ever thought of learning to fly to just do it! It has been one of the greatest highlights of my life.

July 3, 2022. Left our overnight stop in Middleton-in-Teesdale to ride through the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. Did a loop in the Northern end of the park then the the town of Hawes before continuing South to Skipton for lunch. Next we worked our way to infamous Cat and Fiddle road A537 located on the Western border of the Peak District. This road has become so lethal for motorcyclists...

Continuing our trip on the A82 down from Inverness in route to our next overnight stop in Dunoon we pass along the scenic Loch Lomond National Park. Despite the James Bond Skyfall Road indicating closed on Google maps, as we passed it we thought that indeed it was open! Thus, a quick turnaround and we rode down one of the most beautiful roads to date. Lush emerald green mountains and flowing Ri...

July 1, 2022. Left Wick, Scotland after an overnight stay at the Kirk House. Nice old mansion style accommodations and dinner at another Indian restaurant of course. I was able to at least dry our water logged gloves in the onsite dryer. What a relief. Proceeding South of Inverness along the A82 with a stop at Loch Ness, no critter seen unfortunately, we took a lunch break on a floating pub/res...
Great Britain Motorcycle Tour Day 8.1 - Hard Knot Pass

June 28, 2022. After a stay in Holmrook at the quaint bed and breakfast “Dale View Inn”, we struck off for an early morning ride to England’s most notorious pass, Hard Knot located in the beautiful Lake District. We approached from the West side. It was a cool morning with some low hanging clouds but otherwise good visibility. The pass includes a 30% grade, requiring us to ride in first gear fo...

After Christmas Covid concerns 2021
Переглядів 422 роки тому
Took my Spyder out for ride the Sunday after Christmas. When passing my local Community College, they have a COVID testing site, the line was the longest I have ever seen there. Usually just a couple of cars in the parking lot. But today they were lined up a long way up the road.

Drove the Can Am Spyder up North America’s highest paved road to a height of 14000 feet above sea level. The visibility was a little low due to some fires in the state. Normally one would be able to clearly see the distant mountain peaks.

All day motorcycle ride to the Pawnee National Grasslands in North central Colorado. We rode our new Can-Am Spyder RT Limited almost 300 miles from the Denver area there an back in a day. Took about eleven hours for a leisure ride and stop for lunch at a brew pub in Sterling called “Parts and labor “. Temperature is the 90’s for the afternoon. Had to ride really fast in order for the air condit...

Awesome videos bud! I'm up in Colorado Springs and do a lot of backcountry dirt bike riding so it is cool to see some of the terrain low and slow from above. Are there any backcountry flying clubs or groups for our area? I am new to aviation but hope to own a bush plane soon, Zenith is definitely top of the list as it meets my mission requirements. Cheers bud, thanks for sharing
hay do you still have the gear box for this engine. if so i will by it
That was absolutely amazing, could you explain how to recover without panicking please. 😅😅
Awesome views Sonex N1472X
What is your climb rate during a high density day? I have a 701 over in Craig Colorado. Field elevation 6198' Thanks
What cruise speeds and rpm do you get up high?
Can you name an aircraft engine that hasn’t?
Подскажите пожалуйста как двигатель работает? У меня без винта работает с винтом нет!
hello, tell me what the problem was with the engine, I have it working without a screw, but not with a screw. it doesn't start well either! have you found a problem?

Not that it's relevant any more, but a modern Direct Injection engine will prime the high pressure line with the electric pump via a valve. There is no cranking to prime like there was with an old diesel. As a person that has a lot of knowledge on engines, the Honda engines are not ideal for aircraft use. The piston speed, bearing size, valve setup are not designed for what Viking is advertising. Viking stating that VTC is modern and good, but doesn't show it on an aircraft at all. VTEC does not get utilised with a fixed speed propeller.
I read your comments. Direct injection is very sensitive. Not of any benefit to aircraft. Hope the UL engine is going well.
So did you figure it out the issue? No chance the supply was connected to the return on the fuel rail?
Your probably right, the bias with these engines is for them to run if everything is done correctly
Have been over Hardknott and Wrynose loads of times on loads of motorcycles and in cars. Never gets dull. One of the most memorable was on a Honda Grom 125, over a 100 mile round trip from where I live. The Roman Fort is brilliant. Nice video.
flying a single engine in the mountains... ballzy.
Gorgeous daY for SpYdering. Colorado is so beautiful, the temperature is near perfect for SpYdering. Didn't see too many Fall colors, I guess You will have to keep getting out rYding to find more. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the rYde along. StaY Alert. rYde Safe in a fun waY. Keep on SpYdering.😎🇺🇲.
Very short uncle video 😀🙏
I just did a CO check with a similar sensor in my C150 and got the same type of results in cruise as you did. CO is sucked into the cockpit with all the vents closed and just a bit of vent opening dropped the reading down. Your video was confirmation of what I found. I am recommending a portable sensor to others as you have no idea unless you have a good sensor.
VERY NICE...THE 750 CAN DO IT ALL...
What is your TO roll distance with 2 people on board off of grass strips?
Stunning views! Thanks for sharing
Sounds like a load of bs
360 view at the peak at the end is very cool!
Very nice! Gorgeous day! Beautiful ride! That visitors center is something else! I've been to Pikes pPeak twice... Once in a van and once on the cog railway... But not yet on my spyder. Grumpy Ol Gringo shared this with me and I look forward to seeing more of your rides! 💜🏍️
Gorgeous daY for SpYdering. Beautiful scenerY and views. Thanks for the Ryde along. StaY Alert. rYde Safe in a fun waY. Thanks for sharing. Keep on SpYdering. 😎🇺🇸.
Thank you very much. Love your typing skill. I think you mush have a SpYder as well. They sure are great for two up riding as an addition to my two wheel motorcycles.
Thank you for sending this my way, GOG. 🤗💜 Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful flight! Which engine in your Cruzer?
UL Power 350is engine
Cool uncle 👏👏👏❤️
Thank you!! great vid. If by chance you make another one it would be interesting to hear you narrate your control inputs during the spin....
well done and presented. I just wont do them. Hate any kind of aerobatic type maneuvers....puke...lol
Shit happens
Barely even spins, kinda just goes into a rolling dive it looks like... 🙂👍
Nice job! Any chance you might want to comment on the performance differences with the UL power vs your previous Viking 130 please? Those of us contemplating which way to go would really appreciate some honest r/w cruise, climb & FF numbers, if you'd be so kind. Thanks
Why would anybody not use a certified aircraft engine is beyond me yeah it's more costly but is your life worth it do not use auto engines they fail Alot it's your life on the line!!!!!!
Amazingly well done and explained. I am only watching and I can't keep my cool as you do doing it! Great video
Thank you very much.
I love the calm voice while you do this, can't say I feel and sound that way despite having done quite a few of them. Guess more to practice :-)
Great video. I always tell myself, "Our 801 could handle it," but then I read a testimony from a builder who blew out several rivets from his rudder doing an agressive spin entry, so we haven't tried it.
Any update on the cause? Has it happened since? Planning on putting it in my zenith 750 SD build.
Gary, thanks for posting this text book rendition of the Homebuilt Flyby at Airventure 2019. I hope that other HB aircraft pilots will view this and see how simple and fun the process is to fly their Homebuilt aircraft at Airventure in the future. HB Flyby Chairman, Jim Maher
nice video...👏👏👏🙏
Thinking of picking one of these up but wondering how capable of getting up i70 it would be
Wide open throttle on mountain highways results in about 50 mph at our altitude.
TPA = 11,000ft. Not something one encounters very often ;) Nice video and great commentary. Enjoyed it.
You know your getting old when.... you prefer 3 wheels over 2. Lol. Just giving you a hard time. It's pretty out there!
Flying low this time, ha ha
I think I have flown lower in my Sonex.
Very nice videos, thank you. Keep them coming. I do have a question about the Cruzer. I believe you previously built a Sonex. Can you let mo know which kit you consider to be easier to build, particularly for a first time builder? Thanks.
The Zenith was easier for two reasons. The first is the Zenith was a matched hole drilled kit whereas the Sonex was not at the time I built it. Second, having built one airplane already which required considerable fabrication the match hole kit was a breeze.
@@GWMotley1 thanks!
@@GWMotley1 And I take it your view is the same, even with the new Sonex B models, right? Thanks again. I think I'm leaning to Zenith, and probably a cruiser although I'm still thinking about the 750 SD.
when the trotol is reduced, it plunges straight down😀🙏
Cool uncle👍👍👍👍
Forward stick - opposite rudder! When I was learning in the 60's. Looks like it still works!
I did it in that order in a C152 before and forward elevator first aggravates the spin, stop the rotation before breaking the stall.
Beautifully done and explained.
great flight, have fun uncle🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️👏
beautiful flight ...
